Do For One

Tuesday, April 8th, 2014

As you are rambling around today doing things and doing unto others, here is a little thought that should help you with those interactions. This little principle should help us break down the enormity of the things that are there to be done.

Do for one what you wish you could do for everyone.

Focus on one and let the glory of God been shown.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:9, 10 NIV)

Then as you move along along you can start to increase the number of ones.

#victory

This is a thought that I saw on Twitter that I just just love. So much that I felt it needed to be shared today.

If I make a positive difference in my own life and in the life of someone else, each and every day, I win. #victory

Make a difference today! And gain the #Victory.

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. (Matthew 7:12 NIV)

Best Touchdown Ever

Wednesday, April 10th, 2013

I am sure you have all seen this video of little Jack Hoffman scoring a touching in the Nebraska spring game.  If you haven’t, take a moment to watch, and if you have, watch it again.  Look at all of the encouragement and the way all the players are behind and supporting the little guy!

What an awesome thing!  Tough football players reaching out and lifting up others in their need!  What a super example of how we are to be. Always looking for ways to make others better, looking for ways to use of positions for the building up of others!

Good Job Huskers!

But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” Hebrews 3:13

El Cajero de la Felicidad

I ran across this great video yesterday about an ATM machine that give our free money.  That’s right, free! There is no need to put in your card, no need for a bank account, and  no strings attached. Well, just one string – you have to promise to share the money with others.  Awesome right!

Check it out here.  Just one thing, it is from Spain, so it’s in Spanish.  The screen essentially say – ‘Get $100 Euros without a card’. When you select Yes, it says “only if you agree to share”  and then if you hit yes again, it provides some ideas of how to do it.

Watch and stick with it to the end to see how this plays out!

Be the cashier of happiness today – give good!

We must not become tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9(NCV)

Do Something Useful

Wednesday, February 20th, 2013

One of my coworkers passed along this “Pep Talk” video last week.  I have to admit I thought it was more of the propaganda that he was pushing at first ! :).  But really this is a good little talk from a small child, just a reminder to make sure we take advantage of what we have and make it count.

This sort of reminds me of this admonishing from long ago, as my boy Paul writes this to his dear friend Titus

14 Our people should learn to spend their time doing something useful and worthwhile. Titus 3:14 (CEV)

or from the NIV

14 Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives.
